Knoxville, Tenn. - Tennessee defeated Memphis, 6-1, in men's tennis action Saturday morning in Knoxville. Tennessee, ranked fourth in the country, swept all six singles matches while Memphis, ranked 72nd, won the doubles competition.

With the loss, Memphis falls to 1-2 on the season with both losses coming to top 30 teams. Alex Bucewicz and Michael LaHaie at number three doubles and Ben Stapp and Lee Taylor Walker at number one doubles were the only winners for the Tigers. They defeated the reigning SEC indoor doubles champions.

Memphis plays East Tennessee State in Knoxville later today (Saturday).
