TULSA, Okla. - The men's tennis team (2-1) suffered its first loss of the season to No. 23 Oklahoma State (1-0), 7-0, on the second day of a four-day road trip, Friday night. OSU swept all three doubles matches, then, led by No. 27 Daniel Byrnes' 6-3, 6-1 win over Matt Brewer, swept all six singles matches en route their first win of the season.

Memphis will remain in Tulsa for two more days, facing No. 50 Tulsa is both team's first Conference USA match of the season. The Tigers will finish the trip with a match against No. 46 Oklahoma, Sunday, before returning home.
