Louisville, Ky. - The University of Memphis defeated Southern Mississippi, 5-2, in men's tennis on Saturday at Louisville, Ky. The match was part of the newly designed Conference USA tennis schedule which requires a certain number of conference matches prior to the C-USA championships later in the spring.

Memphis got wins in singles from Joe Schmulian, Lee Taylor Walker, Alex Bucewicz and Michael Chamberlain. The Tigers also captured the doubles point.
