Corpus Christi, Texas - The University of Memphis defeated Louisville, 4-2, in the semi-finals of the H.E.B. Collegiate Team Championships on Saturday and will now play 22nd-ranked Middle Tennessee for the title on Sunday. Memphis has now defeated the number three seed, UNLV, and the number two seed, Louisville, in the 16-team event in Corpus Christi, Texas.

"We really dug down deep for this one," said head coach Phil Chamberlain, whose Tigers have defeated Louisville twice in the last two weeks. "We played probably our best tennis of the year today and this was really a team victory."

Memphis is ranked 70th in the Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings. UNLV is 59th and Louisville is 69th.

Memphis narrowly lost to Middle Tennessee, 4-3, last weekend in Murfreesboro. It will be the first meeting between these two teams on neutral courts this year.
