MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's tennis team (5-8, 1-1 C-USA) won its second straight match, using victories in five of the six singles matches to close out a 6-1 victory over Tennessee Tech, Sunday.

"We are starting to compete for every point and having fun," Head Coach Paul Goebel said. "It was a good weekend for us and we look forward to a tough conference opponent next Friday in UAB."

Memphis won two of the three doubles matches to open the competition, falling 8-3 at No. 1, but winning 8-4 at both No. 2 and 3. The Tigers then used wins at No. 1, 3, 4 , 5 and 6 singles to close out their second straight win and their fifth of the season.
