The UALR men's tennis team survived a closely contested doubles point and took five of six singles matches to defeat Memphis 6-1 at the UALR Tennis Center Thursday afternoon.

UALR (18-7) had to battle to win the doubles point, with Bastian Faisst/Sebastian Falk defeating Lee Taylor Walker/James Spence 8-3, before Memphis (12-10) won at the no. 2 with Alex Bucewicz/Marten Tamla def. Mark Edney/Alexei Poutchinets 9-7.

Dave Baxendine/Mithun Murali secured the doubles point with a 9-8 win over Alex Jago/Andrew Olswing at the no. 3.

The Trojans dominated singles play by winning five of the six matches in straight sets.

The Tigers only win came with Mark Finnegan def. Jarrad Bunt 6-1, 6-0 at the no. 6.
