Senior day began well for netter John Taylor, who picked up his 19th doubles win of the season with partner Leon Nasemann, as the tandem powered to an 8-2 win at the No. 3 spot over Blazers Daniel Moser and Chris Helliar. The U of M's other senior, Jordan Smith, also recorded a win in doubles action, teaming up with David Henry to knock off opponents David Zimmerman and Tom Puetz at the No. 1 position, 8-5.

With the doubles point clinched, Nasemann cruised to a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Puetz at No. 3 singles and Joe Salisbury gave the Tigers a 3-0 advantage with a 6-3, 6-3 downing of Lucas Dirube at the second flight. Nasemann improves his team-best singles mark to 14-6 with the win.

Next, UAB would acquire its lone point on court six where Cedric de Zutter fell to Helliar 6-1, 7-5. With the loss, De Zutter, a freshman from Eeklo, Belgium, wraps up the season in individual play with a notable 11-4 record.

Up next for Memphis will be the C-USA Championships, in Tulsa, Okla., at the University of Tulsa's Case Tennis Center. Matches are slated to start on Thursday, April 21 and the Tigers' opponent and match time will be released as soon as that information becomes available.
