The University of Memphis men's tennis tandem of James Spence and Alex Jago had their run in the Polo Ralph Lauren ITA All-American come to an end with an 8-3 loss to the No. 2 ranked, and defending All-American doubles champs, team from Ohio State. The OSU tandem of Scott Green and Ross Wilson advanced to the quarterfinals with the win over the Tigers, where they will face Ball State's Matt Baccarani and Patrick Thompson.

The Tigers will return home for the University of Memphis Pro-Am, which begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning on the U of M courts to fundraise money for the men's tennis program. The Tigers will then host the ITA Southeast Regional at The Racquet Club of Memphis beginning on Thursday, Oct. 13th. The field for that tournament includes 25 of the nation's top-ranked singles players.

The run to the Round of 16 is the deepest a Tiger doubles team has gone into the ITA All-American. The last Tiger duo to compete in the ITA All-American were Ben Stapp and Lee Taylor Walker, who fell in the first round before advancing to the consolation semifinals in October of 2002.
