JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - U of M freshman K.C. Griffin, a native of Millington, Tenn., has continued his fall unbeaten streak at the UNF Fall Invite in Jacksonville, Fla. Griffin has now won nine straight matches in his first fall in the Blue and Gray.

In the first round of competition, Griffin defeated Mercer's Mark Worsham, 6-4, 6-1. Griffin moved on to the second round at the UNF Fall Invite where he upended Osvaldo Benitez of Florida Atlantic, 6-7(4), 6-0, 10-7. Benitez wsa 2-0 for the Owls in singles play last season. In third round play, Griffin won the first set 6-1, but dropped the second set 2-6 to Radek Langer of South Carolina State. Griffin bounced back to drop Langer in the third set, 10-4.

Griffin will face Alonso Rodriguez of Georgia Southern today at 9:00 a.m. (CST) at the UNF Fall Invite in Jacksonville, Fla. Griffin is the only remaining Tiger in the field, as both Spencer Heflin and Jordan Smith lost their first round matches.
