JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - - Freshman Michael Gaerthoeffner advanced to the singles finals of the C Men's Draw at the University of North Florida Invitational, Saturday. Gaerthoeffner opened Saturday with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Samford's Adam Witcher, then defeated Florida Atlantic's Lawrence Harradine in the semifinal to advance to his first final of the fall. On Sunday, he will face Florida Alantic's Daniel Vardag in the finals.

The two other Tigers at the UNF tournament fell in the quarterfinal round on Saturday. Sophomore Charlie Ramsay was upended by No. 3 seeded Emmanuel Nkoueleue from Georgia Southern, 6-3, 7-5, while Spencer Heflin fell to Florida Atlantic's Joe Cadogan, 6-4, 6-3 in the B singles quarterfinals.

In doubles, the Tiger tandem of Ramsay and Heflin won their consolation doubles match over the team of Abalos and Reynolds from Samford, 8-4. They will face the team of Cruz and James from Bethune-Cookman in the semifinal of the A doubles consolation bracket, Sunday.
