MEMPHIS, Tenn.--The Intercollegiate Tennis Association rated Memphis freshmen Joe Salisbury and David O'Hare as the No. 52 men's doubles pair in the country, and No. 6 in the Ohio Valley Region, according to rankings released Tuesday.

Salisbury, a native of London, England, and O'Hare, who hails from Dublin, Ireland, took down pairs from South Carolina, Winthrop and Mercer at the Southern Intercollegiates in Athens, Ga., as well as opponents from Purdue in the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals during the 2010 fall campaign.

This marks the sixth time a tandem from the U of M has been ranked nationally during the spring slate. The most recent was just last year, when senior Jordan Smith and junior David Henry were ranked 82nd in the 2010 year end rankings. Smith and Henry jumped to No. 47 in the ITA preseason rankings back in September, but fell from the doubles rankings following the fall campaign.

The U of M kicks off the 2011 dual match portion of its schedule on Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. CST, when it travels to Tulsa, Okla., to take on Conference USA rival Tulsa.
