Connor Glennon Receives Wildcard In To US National Indoor Tennis Championships

MEMPHIS - - Sophomore Connor Glennon has received a wild card entry into the US National Indoor Tennis Championship Qualifying Tournament that begins Saturday at The Racquet Club of Memphis. Glennon will face Australia's Matthew Ebden in the final match of the day on the Stadium Court.
Glennon is coming into the wildcard entry with a 4-1 mark in dual season play for the Tigers. He won his match at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1, in a team loss at No. 31 Vanderbilt on Friday, but sports a 3-1 mark at No. 1 singles for the Tigers already this spring. For the year, Glennon, the C-USA Co-Freshman of the Year and a first team all-conference honoree in singles and doubles last year, is 16-5 in singles and has a three-match winning streak.
Glennon won his first professional singles point in the fall when he won his way from the qualifying draw into the main draw of the USA F30 event in Florida. He then won his first round match to earn his first professional singles point.
