The University of Memphis men's tennis team will be back in action on Wednesday, as they travel to Oxford, Mississippi to take on rival Ole Miss. The match against the Rebels is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Ole Miss (5-2), will be the fifth ranked opponent this season for Memphis (3-3). Ole Miss is currently ranked No. 10 in the ITA rankings after jumping two spots in the latest poll, while Memphis fell just one spot to No. 32 after a 4-2 loss at No. 40 Vanderbilt.

The match between the Tigers and the Rebels will feature five players currently ranked in the ITA singles rankings. Jonas Lutjen, Nik Scholtz, William Kallberg, and Stefan Lindmark of Ole Miss are currently ranked No. 6, No. 24, No. 40, and No. 84, respectively. Joe Salisbury, of Memphis, is currently ranked No. 73.

The Rebels also bring a pair of ranked doubles teams into the match. Nik Scholtz and Jonas Lutjen currently sit at No. 16 in the ITA rankings and the duo of William Kallberg and Adrien Forberg Skogeng is currently ranked No. 25.

Joe Salisbury will be looking to win his 50th career singles match as a Tiger and will also look to pick up his 59th career doubles win as he closes in on the 60 career doubles win mark.

The two squads faced each other as ranked teams last season in Oxford, as Memphis fell 4-3 in a tightly- contested match. This meeting will be the 43rd time Memphis will face Ole Miss, trailing in the all-time series 28-14.
