Men's Tennis Hosts Middle Tennessee, Honors Seniors on Saturday
March 23, 2012
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Three men's tennis players will be honored for their careers at the University of Memphis when the 30th-ranked Tigers host Middle Tennessee State at noon on Saturday at The Racquet Club of Memphis. K.C. Griffin, David Henry and Leon Nasemann are nearing the conclusion of their final year at the U of M and will be honored for their achievements.
Nasemann has put together a sensational senior season, amassing an 8-4 record in singles play and a 12-3 record in doubles action. His leadership has been a valuable asset to Head Coach Paul Goebel and the young tennis team. Henry stands at 11-3 in doubles play and 2-0 in singles. Like Nasemann, he has helped with the development of the Tigers, partnering with two freshmen in his doubles matches. Griffin has not played this season due to an injury.
Memphis (12-3) looks to build upon its already impressive record with Middle Tennessee State (8-5) visiting the Bluff City. The Tigers are owners of four wins over ranked opponents and the Blue Raiders have been listed in the rankings several times this season and as recently as No. 68 last week.
