Martin, Tenn.-- - Freshman Ben Stapp (Sydney, Australia) earned his 10th victory in singles and doubles with wins against competition from UT-Martin, Friday.

Stapp teamed with fellow Aussie Alistair Todd (Perth, West Australia) for an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles before winning his 10th singles match with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Dewit Stegmann at the No. 4 spot. The duo of Stapp and Todd lead the team with a 10-6 doubles record, while Stapp leads the team with a 10-9 singles mark.

The Tigers swept the three doubles matches and the doubles point en route their ninth win of the season.

The Tigers also got singles victories from juniors Jack Hu (Nashville, TN/Hillsboro) and Chris Buckley (Oak Ridge, TN). Hu won his No. 5 match over Danilo Castro, 6-4, 6-1, while Buckley down Jeremy Cagle, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 6. Buckley is the only other Tiger to be above .500 in singles for the season with an overall mark of 6-5.

The road trip continues for the U of M at Murray State, Saturday, at 2 p.m. It will be the Tigers' ninth consecutive match away from Memphis. Memphis has just one home match remaining-- against Oklahoma Christian at 1 p.m., Apr. 1st.
