April 10, 2000
Memphis, Tenn.-- - Some things just do not change. Just like the 1999 Conference USA Championships, the University of Memphis men's tennis team (14-13, 1-3) has been seeded eighth for the C-USA Championship tournament and plays ninth seed Marquette (7-10, 1-3) in its opening round, Thursday, beginning at noon.
The two schools met in the opening round of last year's championship, with Memphis sweeping the Golden Eagles, 4-0, before advancing to finish fifth, winning the consolation championship.
