MEMPHIS, Tenn. - With its No. 33 national ranking and 15-4 record, the Memphis men's tennis team will travel to Birmingham, Ala., this weekend for two-road matches against No. 59 South Alabama and No. 65 UAB.

South Alabama enters the match with a 14-5 record, including a 3-2 record against ranked opponents, and a No. 59 ranking. Cody Hall leads the Jaguars with a 13-5 record, playing mostly on court four. Daniel Leitner is 11-3, with most of his wins coming on court 3. Playing at No. 1 doubles, Alex Bernard and Romain Bocaert are 8-5 on the season. The match between Memphis and South Alabama is scheduled for 10 a.m. (CT) on Saturday morning.

Memphis closes the regular season against conference-foe and 65th-ranked UAB on Sunday at noon (CT). UAB is 13-9 and has lost its last two matches to No. 48 Alabama and No. 56 Middle Tennessee, both common opponents with the U of M. The Tigers split matches with Alabama and Middle Tennessee, losing 4-3 at Alabama and defeating Middle Tennessee, 6-1, at The Racquet Club of Memphis. Chris Helliar and Daniel Moser pace the Blazers with 11 wins apiece.

The Tigers will then prepare for the Conference USA Tournament hosted by UCF in Orlando, Fla., from April 19-22. Seedings and match times will be released early next week.
