The University of Memphis will be the host site for the 2013 C-USA Men's Tennis Championship, beginning on Thursday. Nine teams will visit the Bluff City to compete for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, and the competition will be stiff, as six of the nine are ranked among the top 75 collegiate men's tennis teams in the country. The competition will begin Thursday at 2 p.m. at MUS when No. 8 seed UCF faces No. 9 seed East Carolina. In case of inclement weather, the match may be moved inside to The Racquet Club of Memphis. The winner of the 8/9 game will face top seeded Tulsa, the No. 23 ranked team in the country, at 10 a.m., Friday, at MUS.

The other 10 a.m. Friday match will pit No. 4 seed SMU against No. 5 seeded Old Dominion. The two are ranked No. 72 and 73 in the country, respectively, and will be fighting to advance to the semifinal to face the winner of the Tulsa and winner of 8/9 match on Saturday.

Host Memphis is the No. 2 seed and enters the week the No. 35 ranked team in the country. Memphis will face UAB, a team they just faced a week ago, but which was short-handed for that regular season meeting. UAB will be back to full strength for this meeting with the Tigers and will look to upset the home team to advance to the second semifinal. The Memphis/UAB match will be played at 2 p.m. at MUS.

The other side of that semifinal will pit No. 3 seed Tulane, the No. 66 ranked team in the country, against No. 6 seeded Rice3, the No. 74 ranked team in the country.

The two semifinal matches will be played at noon Saturday at MUS (both matches will be played simultaneously on the 12-court setup at MUS), and the championship match will be played at noon, Sunday.

Parking at MUS will be extremely limited on Friday due to classes and an MUS construction project. Fans should allow enough time to locate parking.

Admission for all of the matches will be free.

Live stats will be available for all matches. For updated information, please check the C-USA Men's Tennis Championship page HERE.
