MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis men's tennis netter Michael Gaerthoeffner was one of six C-USA players named to the 2010 C-USA All-Academic team as announced on Monday morning via the conference office. Gaerthoeffner becomes the third player in the last four years to be named to the All-Academic team.

The junior from Rheine, Germany, has a cumulative GPA of 3.91 while majoring in international business. Gaerthoeffner will graduate in three years from the University of Memphis. He has been a C-USA Academic Medalist during each of his three seasons at the U of M.

On the court, he heads into the C-USA tournament with the most wins of any Tiger netter (13). Gaerthoeffner joins Benedikt Fischer, who earned the honor three times, and Amrit Narasimhan, 2007 All-Academic selection, as Memphis tennis players to be selected to get C-USA All-Academic nods.
