MEMPHIS, Tenn. - For the first time in school history, the University of Memphis men's and women's tennis teams will both be making an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, which is set to begin May 10 at select campus sites.

The Racquet Club of Memphis' Pub & Dining Room, located at 5111 Sanderlin Avenue, is hosting the official watch party for Memphis when the NCAA Selection Show airs Tuesday, Apr. 30 from 4-5 p.m. The event will feature free appetizers and a cash bar for those in attendance.

The No.32 Memphis men's tennis team captured their first Conference USA title last Sunday when the No. 2 seeded Tigers upset No. 1 seed Tulsa, 4-2, in the C-USA Championship match at the Dunavant-Wellford Tennis Center on the campus of Memphis University School. The Tigers have posted a 14-7 record this season with seven wins over ranked opponents, including three victories over top-25 teams (Tulsa, Cornell, VCU). Memphis made its first trip to the NCAAs last season as an at-large following a 19-5 record and ranking of 31 in the country.

The No. 34 Memphis women's tennis team is looking for an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament after falling to No. 24 Tulsa, 4-3, in the C-USA semifinals last Saturday. The Lady Tigers have totaled a 17-6 record this season with five wins over ranked opponents, including two over top-25 teams (Virginia, Notre Dame).
