MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's tennis team finished the season ranked No. 35 in the final ITA rankings released on Tuesday, May 29. Memphis was ranked in all but the first poll during the spring season, earning a spot in 15-consecutive polls.

The Tigers posted their most-prolific season in the 53-year history of the program, recording a 19-6 mark and earning the program's first berth into the NCAA Championships. The .760 winning percentage ties the 1998 squad with the highest since the team posted a 22-2 mark, .917 winning percent, in 1979.

Memphis finished second in the Conference USA regular-season and championships, both program bests in C-USA play. With seven wins against ranked teams in 2012, the U of M surpassed the six wins accumulated against ranked opponents during the last eight seasons combined.

The ITA will release the singles and doubles rankings on June 6. Check GoTigersGo.com for information on Memphis men's tennis and all Tigers athletics.
