Salisbury and O'Hare Cap Year No. 39 in ITA Doubles Rankings

MEMPHIS - - Joe Salisbury and David O'Hare, both juniors for the past season at the University of Memphis, capped their 2013 men's tennis season as the No. 39 ranked doubles team in the country it was announced, Wednesday. The No. 39 ranking is the highest of the season for the duo, who posted a 14-2 mark in doubles play this spring, including an 8-1 mark at No. 1.
The tandem was the highest-ranked doubles team in Conference USA in the post-season rankings and finished the season on a nine-match winning streak, including a win over the Ole Miss No. 1 ranked doubles team that finished the year as the No. 4 ranked team in the country and a win over the Pepperdine No. 1 duo in the NCAA Round of 16. They are two-time, first team All-C-USA doubles honorees and will both return to Memphis next year for their senior seasons, the Tigers' first year in the American Athletic Conference. Salisbury was also named All-C-USA second team in singles play and was voted to the C-USA All-Academic Team.
As a team, Memphis finished the year as the No. 20 ranked team in the country. On Thursday, the Tigers will find out where they will play in the ITA Kick-off Classic in the 2013-14 schedule. That will be the second straight year the Tigers have been invited to play in the ITA Kick-Off Classic.
