The University of Memphis men's tennis team claimed one doubles title and made one appearance in a singles final at the University of North Florida tournament, Sunday.

The doubles team of Spencer Heflin and Charlie Ramsay won their semifinal match, 8-3, over the team of Cruz and James from Bethune-Cookman Sunday morning to earn a slot in the A Consolation Doubles. But the team was slated to face East Tennessee's duo of Daniel Isaza and Lisandro Picardo, but the ETSU duo was unable to compete in the finals due to travel arrangements.

In C singles, freshman Michael Gaerthoeffner made his first career finals appearance, and won the opening set of his final 6-4, before falling 6-4, and being down 2-0 before having to retire.

The Tigers will next be in action at the ITA Southeast Regionals, beginning on Friday at the University of Kentucky.
