Entering her fourth season with the Memphis Track and Field Program, Chrissie Feldmann has been instrumental in program's recent success in the jumping events. In 2012, the Sycamore, Ill., saw two of her high jumpers qualify for the NCAA East Preliminary and one become the program's first All-American in the high jump.
Under Feldmann's tutelage, Darius Lynwood won gold in the high jump (2.17m, 7'1.5") at the 2012 Conference USA Indoor Championships and earned All-C-USA first team honors. Lynwood's success continued into the outdoor season, where he qualified for his first NCAA East Preliminary and took All-C-USA second team honors after winning silver at the C-USA Outdoor Championships.
At the NCAA East Preliminary, Lynwood broke the program's 34-year-old high jump record with a leap of 2.19m (7'2.5"), qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. At the NCCA Championships, Lynwood finished 13th-overall at a height of 2.15m (7'.5"), attaining All-America second team honors.
Also in 2012, Laura Toldy took the bronze medal in the high jump (1.76m, 5'9.25") at the C-USA outdoor Championships and earned All-C-USA third team honors. Her bronze medal performance qualified Toldy for her first NCAA East Preliminary.
During the 2011 outdoor season, Jerome Leslie and Kirsten Berding were tabbed all-conference selections and were NCAA Regional qualifiers in the triple jump and high jump, respectively. Additionally, as a freshman, Darius Lynwood achieved second place at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships in the high jump, picking up All-C-USA Second team honors.
In 2010, Leslie made his way to a third-place finish at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships in the high jump and qualified for the NCAA Regionals, while Desiree Blow just missed becoming an all-conference performer in the heptathlon.
As a collegiate athlete, Feldman competed three years as a jumper and one year in multi-events at Marquette University. Feldmann graduated from Marquette in the spring of 2009 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and obtained her master's degree in exercise and sport science at the University of Memphis in May of 2011.
