In his freshman campaign, the multi-event specialist garnered All-Conference USA second-team honors in the decathlon after battling through injury during the outdoor season ... Broke the school-record and took silver at the C-USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships totaling 6,636 points in the decathlon ... Took ninth-place and set a personal record in the discus at the Memphis Invitational with a throw of 37.59m (123'4") ... Placed sixth with a personal-record of 7.16m (23'6") in the long jump at the War Eagle Invitational.

Shattered the school's indoor heptathlon record and took first place at the Gladstein Invitational tallying 5,190 points ... In his heptathlon performance at the Gladstein Invitational the versatile-athlete set new personal-records in the 60m (7.40), 1,000m (2:51.85), 60m hurdle (8.73), high jump (1.95m, 6'4.75"), pole vault (4.40m, 14'5.25") and shot put (12.55m (41'2.25").
