1998-99: LaRusso continued competing in the pole vault for the Tigers, clearing an indoor-best 4.43 meters at the Kentucky Invite before finishing fourth in the C-USA Indoor Championships...The sophomore cleared a season-best 15-1 at the ASU Track Classic during the outdoor season.

1997-98: LaRusso competed in the pole vault as a freshman... He opened his career with a first place 13-6 at the ASU Track Classic...He improved that mark with a 14-4.5 at the Saluki Invitational... LaRusso had his best indoor mark at the C-USA Championship with a 15-6.25, good enough for seventh place...He had his best vault of the outdoor season at Ole Miss with a 15-0 effort...He finished seventh at the outdoor league championships with a vault of 14-0.25.
