Lee completed her first year of coaching on the Tiger track and field staff. She assisted head coach Kevin Robinson with the throwers. While still competing on the professional circuit herself, Lee helped coach All-American Susan King to a silver medal at the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the shot put. King also placed fourth at the 2008 NCAA Indoor Championships.
At the 2008 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials, Lee placed ninth in the shot put to end an amazing throwing career.
After finishing an amazing track and field career, two-time All-American Lee joined the U of M coaching staff in Fall 2007. She will be assisting with the throws.
2005 & 2007 All-American Three-Time NCAA Championships Qualifier 2005 C-USA Indoor Shot Put Champion 2007 C-USA Indoor Shot Put & Weight Throw Champion 2007 C-USA Outdoor Shot Put Champion2005-06:INDOOR- Redshirted the indoor season. OUTDOOR- Qualified for her second NCAA Championships and her first outdoor ... Finished third in the hammer at the C-USA Championships ... Won the hammer at the Rhodes Open by nearly 20 feet ... Won the shot at the Ole Miss Dual Meet with a school record heave of 49-09 ... Added another win and a school record, taking the hammer with a mark of 175-00.00 at the Bulldog Invitational ... Registered a toss of 182-10 in the hammer and posted a throw of 50-06.75 in the shot put at the Ole Miss Invitational to break her previous school marks in both events ... Finished second in both the shot and hammer at the Sea Ray Relays, recording marks of 52-09.50 and 183-09 respectively ... Surpassed her own school mark with a toss of 184-02 in a third place finish at the Vanderbilt Relays ... Had her best shot throw of the season at the ASU High Performance with a mark of 54-07.5.
2004-05: INDOOR-Quickly became the most decorated women's thrower in Memphis history in her first season as a Lady Tiger, as she set two school records, won a C-USA Championship and became the U of M's first-ever female All-American...Got her U of M career off to a tremendous start with a school-record and NCAA Championship-qualifying toss of 52-07.50" (16.04m) in the shot put at the Saluki Booster Invitational...Placed second in the shot put (51-01.75"; 15.59m) and fourth in the weight throw (57-07.00"; 17.55m) at the McDonald's Invitational...Won both the shot (50-03.50"; 15.33m) and weight (60-04.00"; 18.39m) at the SEMO Invitational...Added a second school record in the weight throw at the C-USA Championships, while taking the conference title with a toss of 61-07.00" (18.77m)...Just missed a second C-USA crown, as she placed second in the shot with a throw of 50-10.75" (15.51m)...Earned All-American honors in the shot put by placing 10th at the NCAA Championships with a throw of 51-03.00" (15.62m)... OUTDOOR-Redshirted the outdoor season to allow for more time to work on the technical aspects of her throws.
2003-04 (Barton Co. CC): INDOOR-Named a JUCO All-American in each of her two years at Barton...Won the JUCO shot put championship in 2003...Named the 2004 Athlete of the Meet for Indoor JUCO Regionals...Broke the Barton indoor record for the shot put with a mark of 50'10.25" (15.50m)...Won National JUCO team titles in 2003 and 2004...OUTDOOR-Named a JUCO All-American in 2003 and 2004...Won JUCO outdoor shot put championships in 2003 and 2004...Set the Barton overall shot put record with a toss of 52'5" (15.98m)...Won Team National Championships in 2003 and 2004.
