Track 2002: Competed in four indoor meets, posting two top five and three top 10 finishes, including a 2nd in the 600 at Southern Illinois-Carbondale in 1:21.10...His best 800 time of the indoor season was a 1:55.73...Competed in five meets during the outdoor season, posting four top 10 finishes and finishing 8th in his heat in the 800 at the C-USA Championships with a time of 1:53.94...His best 800 was a 1:53.26 at Mississippi State, where he finished 3rd.

2001: Named to Tiger Academic 30 and the Commissioner's Honor Roll...Posted a best time in the 800 at the Illini Classic during the indoor season, finishing second in 1:54.75...During the outdoor season, Lucas continued to shave time off, dropping it to a 1:51.98 by the Tulane Invite before a hamstring injury plagued him during the conference championships...Lucas still tried to compete at the C-USA Championships, finishing 25th in the 800, an event he was ranked in the top two in prior to the championships.

Cross Country 2000: For the second consecutive fall, Lucas prepped for track by competing in cross country, finishing the 8K course in a season-best 28:32.15 for 67th place...Was a recipient of the Tiger Academic 30 award for having one of the top 30 GPAs of all Tiger student-athletes. Track 2000: Posted his best indoor mark in the 400 at Kentucky, where he finished tied for 6th witha time of 49.23...Focused on the 800 during the outdoor season, posting a season-best time of 1:53.04 at LSU.

Cross Country 1999: His best 8K time of the cross country season was a 31:01 at the Saluki Invite.

Prep: Graduated from Michael Power High School in Toronto where he ran track and cross country under former Tiger Ed Raposo...Was named the school's athlete of the year as a senior...Finished fourth at the Pam-Am Junior Games in Tampa in 1999 in a career-best 47.22 seconds and was second in the Canadian Junior Championships in the 400-meter dash...Set the school record in the 400 as a junior and senior...Also played football and basketball.
