Was the first Memphis high jumper to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships since 1989 and the program's first All-American in the high jump ... Finished the season ranked tied for 26th in NCAA Division I and 18th in NCAA Division I East ... Named Conference USA Male Athlete of the week (3/27/12) ... Had seven top-five finishes during the outdoor season including four first-place finishes ... Took All Conference USA second team honors and silver at the C-USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a leap of 2.14m (7'.25") ... At the NCAA East Preliminary, he broke the program's 34-year-old program record clearing 2.19m (7'2.5") tying for eighth ... Finished 13th at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at a height of 2.15m (7'.5") earning All-America second team honors ... Won high jump titles at the Mississippi Open (2.18m, 7'1.75"), Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invite (2.15m, 7'.5"), Joey Haines Invitational (2.13m, 6'11.75") and Memphis Invitational (6'10.75").

Garnered All-Conference first team honors in the high jump ... Recorded eight top-five finishes during the indoor season ... Won gold with at a height of2.17m (7'1.5") at the C-USA Indoor Track and Field Championships ... Took the high jump title at the SEMO Redhawks Invite clearing 2.13m (6'11.75") earning C-USA Indoor Tracks and Field Male Athlete of the Week (2/21/12) honors ... Placed second four times at the Vulcan Invitational (2.11m, 6'11") and Alabama High Tide Qualifier (2.10m, 6'10.75"), Arkansas State Kickoff Klassic (2.08m, 6'9.75") and Kentucky Rod McCravy Memorial (2.04m, 6'8.25").
2011 Outdoor
Ended freshman campaign with a silver medal at the C-USA Outdoor Championships ... Finished in the top-five in the high jump at five different meets ... Runner-up at the SEMO Invite with a 2.00m (6' 6.75") leap ... Won the Tiger Invitational, tying a meet record with a 2.05m (6' 8.75") mark ... Found his way to the podium with a personal-best 2.08m (6' 9.75") high jump, which placed him 31st in the country among freshmen.
2011 Indoor
Runner-up three times in the high jump during indoor season ... Started the season with a personal-best 2.05m (6' 8.75") mark at the ASU Kick-off Klassic, finishing second ... Was runner-up at the EIU Mega Meet, leaping 2.02m (6' 7.50") ... Tied his personal-best 2.05m mark at the SEMO Invite, marking his third runner-up finish.
Prior to Memphis 2009 Tennessee State Champion in the high jump while at Jackson Central-Merry, where he jumped a 6' 6" mark ... Topped it at the 2010 TSSAA A-AA West Sectional with a 6' 8" mark, but only managed a fourth-place finish at the 2010 state championships, where he had a 6' 4" height ... Also played football and basketball for the Cougars.
