Ended freshman campaign with a silver medal at the C-USA Outdoor Championships ... Finished in the top-five in the high jump at five different meets ... Runner-up at the SEMO Invite with a 2.00m (6' 6.75") leap ... Won the Tiger Invitational, tying a meet record with a 2.05m (6' 8.75") mark ... 2011 Indoor
Runner-up three times in the high jump during indoor season ... Started the season with a personal-best 2.05m (6' 8.75") mark at the ASU Kick-off Klassic, finishing second ... Was runner-up at the EIU Mega Meet, leaping 2.02m (6' 7.50") ... Tied his personal-best 2.05m mark at the SEMO Invite, marking his third runner-up finish.

Prior to Memphis 2009 Tennessee State Champion in the high jump while at Jackson Central-Merry, where he jumped a 6' 6" mark ... Topped it at the 2010 TSSAA A-AA West Sectional with a 6' 8" mark, but only managed a fourth-place finish at the 2010 state championships, where he had a 6' 4" height ... Also played football and basketball for the Cougars.
