1998-99: Perry competed primarily in the triple jump and the long jump for the Tigers in his first collegiate season... His best finishes were second-place finishes at the indoor ASU Invite and the outdoor Big Cat Classic where he posted a 47-7.25 in the triple jump and a 22-11.75 in the long jump, respectively...Perry set a season-high in the triple jump with a 48-9 at the Alabama Relays and a 23-4 at the Ole Miss Invite in the long jump...The freshman finished fifth inthe triple jump at both the C-USA Indoor and Outdoor meets with jumps of 48-6.25 and 47-3.25, respectively.

Prep: Perry attended Bolton High School in Memphis where he was coached by former Tiger Dan Hinders...He lettered in both track and basketball...As a senior, Perry was the Regional champ in high jump, long jump, triple jump and 110m hurdles...He holds three school records at Bolton in the high jump with a height of 6-8, 110-meter hurdles with a mark of 15.1 and the triple jump with a distance of 45-7...He was an All-Region and All-State performer and was named MVP at the Sectional meet.
