Taylor is a hurdler whom placed in the top 10 of the conference as a freshman...A tall strider, Taylor has potential to be a top-flight hurdler in C-USA.

2003: INDOOR TRACK-Ran a 8.41 in the 60m hurdles at the C-USA Indoor Championships...Personal best time of 8.41 (60m hurdles), 8.13 (55m hurdles)...OUTDOOR TRACK-Won the 400m hurdles at the Big Cat Classic (55.59)...Placed second in the 400m hurdles at both the SEMO Gatorade Classic and Mississippi State Invite with times of 54.16 and 55.00 respectively...Placed seventh in the 110m hurdles and eight in the 400m hurdles at the C-USA Outdoor Championships with times of 14.82 and 53.47, both personal best times...Personal best times of 14.82 (110m hurdles), 53.47 (400m hurdles) and 49.28 (400m).

2002: Competed in three indoor meets, posting his best 55-meter team in his final meet at SIU-Carbondale with a 7.99 in the finals, placing him 10th...Competed in the 110 and 400 hurdles during the outdoor season, finishing third in each event at Murray State...His 15.06 in the 110 hurdles at Arkansas State was his fastest of the season, while his 56.09 at Mississippi State in the 400 hurdles was also a season best...Placed in the top 10 in seven of the 11 events he competed in during the outdoor season.

PREP: Attended Ridgeway HS...Earned five letters in track and three in football ...Ran hurdles and played defensive back...Helped football team to a 10-1 record as a senior...Finished fourth in the state championships in the 110m hurdles after winning the city and regional championships...Coached by Ricky London.

PERSONAL: Born February 3, 1983 in Memphis, Tenn... Son of Ava and Ed Taylor...His father Ed Taylor played in the NFL with the New York Jets and his Uncle Cliff Taylor played in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders...His father is now a teacher and his mother is a principal...Enjoys automotives, aviation and playing sports.
