LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Memphis track team closed out the McCravy Memorial on Saturday with another round of impressive performances.

While team scores were not kept, the Tigers and Lady Tigers turned in impressive individual performances with several athletes setting new personal bests.

After winning the discus Friday, junior thrower Sivan Aballi followed up with a new personal best in the shot put Saturday. Aballi's throw of 50-0 was good enough for third-place and gave her the highest finish of any Tiger competitor on the day.

In the women's 3000 meters, sophomore Emily Malinowski finished just three seconds off of her collegiate time, coming in at 9:58.33 and finishing in fifth-place.

Two-time NCAA Regional qualifier Brandon Winbush took the highest finish of any of Memphis' men's athletes. Winbush took sixth-place in the long jump, leaping an impressive 23-0.75. The mark was just six inches short of his indoor best.

In the men's shot put Norbert Gulyas led Memphis with a throw of 52-2.75. Middle distance runner Sam James smashed his best time in the 800 metes by two seconds, turning in a time of 1:55.55.

Memphis will compete next week in Baton Rouge, La. at the Bayou Bengal Invitational hosted by Louisiana State University.
