@MemTigersTF_XC Men Notch New Personal Bests at SEMO

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.-The University of Memphis men's track and field team returned to action at the SEMO Redhawks Invitational, on Friday. The meet provided short sprint and field event athletes one final tune-up before the American Athletic Conference Championship.
In the 55m, Ojike Maat (6.48), Michael McManus (6.52) and Joe Craig (6.94) placed third, fourth and fifth respectively. In the 55m hurdles, Aaron Persinger (7.70), Aaron Willett (7.72), Brandon Williams (7.86) and Luis Hanssler (7.89) finished in order first through fourth.
Moving to field events, Georgio Lynwood took second in the high jump clearing 2.00m (6'6.75"). Hanssler took fourth at a height of 1.85m (6'.75").
In the pole vault, Pauls Pujats and Austin Crenshaw placed first and second respectively with each Tiger clearing 5.22m (17'1.5"). Tuure Hollo placed fourth clearing a new personal-best 4.62m (15'1.75").
Jaleen White took fourth in the long jump at 6.96m (22'10"). Hollo placed fifth with a new personal-best of 6.36m (20'10.5"). White finished second in the triple jump landing at 14.01m (45'11.75").
The Tigers placed five in the top-five in the shot put. Yannik Schaly (17.61m, 57'9.5"), Luke Vaughn (16.96m, 55'7.75"), Tom Willcox (16.21m, 53'2.25") and Matt Sipe (15.72m, 51'7") finished in order second through fifth place.
In the weight throw, the Tigers found the podium with Willcox (17.20m, 56'5.25") and Will Hubber (16.85m, 55'3.5") placing second and third. Vaughn and Sipe each notched new personal-bests, with Vaughn taking fourth at 16.40m (53'9.75") and Sipe placing sixth at 16.02m (52'6.75").
