BATON ROUGE, La. - The University of Memphis track and field teams wrapped up a highly successful weekend at the LSU Relays, with a number of athletes compiling tremendous marks.

After a strong preliminary day, the men's hurdles squad pushed across several high marks. In the 110m hurdles, junior Robert Jackson was runner-up with a 14.02 mark.

Seniors Richard Lowe (52.92) and Nick Harold (53.22) finished second and third, respectively, in the 400m hurdles.

In the throws, sophomore Savvas Arestis was runner-up with a 52.82m (173' 3") toss.

Freshman Eli Mahaley was fifth with a 16.40m (53' 9.75") mark.

The women's squad had a number of athletes earn high marks, beginning with junior Tayanna Simpson. Simpson was fourth in the 400m hurdles with a 1:02.35 run.

The women's distance medley squad of Ida Fillingsnes, Holly Joiner, Jenny Johnston and Ellen Kildal won the distance medley with a 12:10.06 mark.

In the field events, sophomore Kirsten Berding won the high jump with a 1.72m (5' 7.75") mark.

The Tigers will be back in action, next weekend, at the SEMO Invite.
