Throwers Set New Personal Records at Auburn

AUBURN, Ala.- Memphis throwers took center stage on day one of the War Eagle Invitational on Friday. A combined seven Tigers took top 10 finishes, with two setting new personal records. In the women's javelin throw, freshman Xenia Rahn set a new personal-record and placed third with a mark of 41.37m. Sophomore Anna-Maria Bischof took fourth place landing at 41.08m. For the men, Kyle Bynum placed second in the javelin with a new personal-record of 62.59m. Fellow throwers Casey Carl (59.83m) and Marc Klaschka (54.19m) placed fourth and eighth respectively. Sophomore Britta Jaarats took ninth in the women's hammer with a new personal-record of 53.31m. For the men, Andrew Miller placed eighth with a mark of 54.84m. Day two of the War Eagle Invitational begins at 11 a.m. with a full slate of track and field events scheduled for competition. Results from the meet will be posted on GoTigersGo.com as they are made available.
