Tigers Sweep Rhodes Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn.-Memphis cross country squads swept the Rhodes College Invitational for the second-straight year, on Saturday. James Maglasang and Louisa Lingley each took first place individual finishes in the Tigers' dominating performance.
In the women's 5k, the Tigers placed four Tigers in the top-10, with an overall first-place team finish. Lingley took first place in a time of 18:24 in her strongest performance so far in the 2012 season.
Alisha Fitch (18:52) placed second, followed by Jenny Johnston (19:17) and Nandia Taylor (19:24) in fifth and seventh place respectively. Meagan Nichols (19:51) and Taylor Kriha (20:08) brought home a pair of top-20 finishes, with Nichols placing 13th and Kriha tied for 19th.
In the men's 8k, Memphis had five top-10 finishes with an overall first-place team finish, with Maglasang crossing the line at 25:09 for a first-place individual finish. This marks the third straight individual title Maglasang has won at the Rhodes Invitational. Dan Kuhuman took second place with a time of 25:13 followed by Aiden Galasso (26:25), Austin Carter (26:27) placing second, fourth and fifth respectively.
