Hattiesburg, Miss. - The seniors placed three Tigers in the first 30 finishers to help guide Memphis to a seventh-place finish at the Conference USA Cross Country Championships at Southern Mississippi, Saturday.

Travis Pressler led all Tiger runners with a 22nd place finish in 26:04.61, while Balazs Laszlo finished 27th in 26:10.88. Hugh Ferry was the third Tiger across the line in 29nd place, with a time of 26:14.72. There was a gap between the Tigers third and fourth runners, with senior Ryan Smith coming across the line 64th while Rahan Mahmood rounded out the Tiger scoring in 68th place. Memphis finished seventh with 210 points, nine points ahead of East Carolina.

Imran Mahmood finished 72nd in 28:25.79, while Jeff Doudrick finished 78th overall 29:26.85

Charlotte won the team title with 53 points, while Marquette finished second with 71 points. South Florida's Andrew Smith won the individual title in 24:36.71.

The Tiger track and field team now prepares for the indoor track season, which begins Dec. 1st at Arkansas State.
