@MemTigersTF_XC Athletes Earn Weekly Conference Honors

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -Following standout performances at the Illini Classic, University of Memphis track and field athletes Maya Williamson and Georgio Lynwood each earned American Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week awards the league office announced on Tuesday.
Williamson took home the Female Track Athlete of the Week honors with her first place finish of 2:10.59 in the 800m. The time ranks seventh on the TFRRS.org NCAA Division I Indoor Qualifying List and tops the American 800m standings.
Lynwood earned Male Field Athlete of the Week honors for his second place performance of 2.08m (6’9.75”) in the high jump. Lynwood’s performance leads the American men’s high jump standings.
