MEMPHIS, Tenn. - With Conference USA Indoor Championships fast approaching, the Memphis track and field teams will split up for a pair of Friday meets that will serve as their final tune-ups before the conference meet. The women's runners will travel to Baton Rouge, La., for the LSU Twilight Invitational, while the men's and women's field events will head to Cape Girardeau, Mo., for the SEMO Invitational.

Contrary to the norm, both the LSU Twilight and the SEMO Invitational will last just one day instead of the normal two, while both will also be held on Friday evening instead of Saturday.

The trip to LSU is a change in the schedule for the women's squad, which was originally scheduled to take part in the EIU Friday Night Special, but opted to travel to Baton Rouge in search of larger and more competitive fields.

Running events at LSU are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and end around 9:30 p.m., while the field events at SEMO will kick off at 3:00 p.m.
