Memphis, Tenn. - The University of Memphis track and field teams will split up for their final tune-ups prior to Conference USA Championships, as the field event athletes will travel to Cape Girardeau, Mo., for the SEMO Invitational, while the runners will head to Charleston, Ill., for the Eastern Illinois Friday Night Special.

The SEMO Invitational will be hosted by Southeast Missouri State University and will be held at the SEMO Student Recreation Center. It is scheduled to begin around 4:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18. The Friday Night Special will be held at Lantz Fieldhouse on the campus of Eastern Illinois University, with running events starting Friday at approximately 4:15 p.m.

Both the field event athletes and the runners will look to Friday's meets as a final preparation, in a competitive atmosphere, before the C-USA indoor meet, which will be held next weekend, Feb. 25-26, at Yeoman Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Houston in Houston, Texas.

Results and recaps for both the SEMO Invitational and the Friday Night Special will be posted on gotigersgo.com after the completion of competition Friday evening.
