Track to compete in SEMO Invitational
Feb. 20, 2004 CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.-The University of Memphis will compete in the SEMO Invitational Friday night in preparation for the C-USA Indoor Championships next weekend. The meet will be held in the Student Recreation Center on the Southeast Missouri State University campus. The Lady Tigers will send a full squad, while the men will send a skeleton squad to compete. Tiger throwers Gaute Myklebust, Adam Martin, Norbert Guylas, Darius Frye and Stein Syverson and hurdler Daniel Kiss will represent the Men's team. The meet offers an opportunity for Tiger athletes to improve their times and marks in hopes of rising in the seeding for the conference indoor championship meet. Some athletes are eyeing NCAA Championship qualifying times/marks as well. Teams competing this tonight will be UAB, Austin Peay, Lipscomb, Murray State, Memphis, and host team SEMO.
