Tigers Add Persinger to Men's Track and Field Signing Class

MEMPHIS, Tenn.- Federal Way High School (Des Moines, Wash.) standout Aaron Persinger has signed his National Letter of Intent to compete for the University of Memphis men's track and field team, head coach Kevin Robinson announced on Tuesday.
"I am very excited to add Aaron to the Tiger family," Robinson said. "Aaron is experienced in both long and short hurdles, and is also a member of a highly-successful 4x400 relay team. He will add depth immediately to our hurdle events, and can potentially help us in some relays."
At Federal Way High, Persinger was a member of the football, swimming and track teams, earning three varsity letters in each sport. He was a valued member of the football team that won back-to-back SPSL Championships (2011, 2012) and member of a track team that has won three-straight SPSL titles (2010, 2011, 2012).
Persinger has also won an individual state title in the 4 x 400m relay and holds personal records of 38.22 in the 300m hurdles and 14.67 in the 110m hurdles. In his prep career, Persinger has been named All-League at defensive back and All-State in track.
