MEMPHIS, Tenn. - For the second time this season, the Memphis track and field teams will make the short trip to Oxford, Miss., this time for the Ole Miss Invitational on Saturday.

The first trip to Ole Miss was especially good to the Memphis field athletes, as they claimed three event titles and broke two school records at the Ole Miss Duels.

J.D. Erickson and Susan King each picked up a win and a regional qualifying mark in the hammer and shot put, respectively, while Gail Lee added a victory and a Lady Tiger record in the hammer.

Whitney Bolton added another school record, as she finished second in the pole vault to give her the outdoor, as well as indoor, record for the event.

This squads will look for more of the same in this weekend's meet, which will feature competitors from a number of solid teams, including UAB, Alabama, Illinois, South Florida, Southern Miss, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Middle Tennessee and Arkansas State.

The meet is set to kick off at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning with field events to be followed by running events starting at noon. All events will be held at the Ole Miss Track and Field Complex.
