@MemTigersTF_XC Athletes Make Strong Showings Abroad

MEMPHIS, Tenn.-Three University of Memphis track and field athletes recently made strong showings at the German Championships and Dutch Championships.

Bovenkarspel, Netherlands, native Vivian Brandhoff took silver in the women's discus and bronze in the women's shot put at the Dutch National Championships (July 27). Brandhooff landed on the podium throwing 47.48m in the discus and 14.55m in the shot put.

At the German Championships (July 25-27) Yannik Schaly and Sabrina Hochreuther each had strong showings in the shot put and pole vault respectively. Hochreuther, a Viernnheim, Germany , native, took seventh in the women's pole at a height of 4.10m. Schaly, a Borgwedel, Germany, native, took ninth in the men's shot put throwing 17.29m.
