MEMPHIS, Tenn.-University of Memphis cross country squads return to action, on Saturday, at the Rhodes College Invitational. The event marks the second of two meets the Tigers will run in Memphis, Tenn. this season.

"As the season progresses and the weather improves, people get into a rhythm with school and we continue to get in better and better shape," cross country/distance coach Doug Clark said. "I can definitely see that our workouts are improving, so now we just need to go into the meet and put it to good use."

The Tigers have dominated this event in recent years. Both the men's and women's teams will be seeking their fourth-straight team title at the annual event. On the men's side, senior James Maglasang will seek his fourth- straight individual win.

"The competition this year will be stronger than in years past," Clark said. "I think James (Maglasang) is capable of winning it again. I think we are capable of finishing in the top three in both the men's and women's races. We just need to go out there and compete the best we can and get as high as we can in the top three."

The women's 6K will begin at 10:00 a.m. (CT) followed by the men's 8K set for 10:40 a.m. (CT) at Shelby Farms in Memphis, Tenn. Results from the Rhodes Invitational will be posted on GoTigersGo.com as they are made available.
