MEMPHIS - Samford's men's and women's cross country teams registered a sweep at the Tiger Invitational Saturday.

The Samford women's team finished with 30 points, outpacing Southeast Missouri which placed second with 42 points. Memphis placed third with a score of 93 points.

SEMO's Amy Arteme won individual honors with a time of 18:31.07 in the 5,000 meter run. The U of M's Wendy Ragle placed seventh with a time of 19:13.56 to lead the Lady Tigers.

Samford's men placed first with a score of 28 points while Mississippi placed second with 44 points. Memphis placed third with 69 points, led by Balazs Laslo who was the top collegian at the meet with a time of 25:42.50 in the 8,000 meter run.
