Cross Country Set for C-USA Championships

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-University of Memphis cross country squads return to action, on Monday, at the Conference USA Championship hosted by Southern Miss. The women take to the trial for the 5K at 9 am (CT), followed by the men's 8K at 10 am (CT).
The Memphis men come in to the Conference USA Championships ranked ninth in the latest USTFCCCA's South Region Poll. The team has not finished outside of the top-10 through four regular season meets, and took first place at the Rhodes College Invitational on September 1.
James Maglasang and Daniel Khuman will lead the Tigers into the post-season. Khuman has four individual top-10 finishes this season, with his best 8K time coming at Louisville's Pre-NCAA Championship (24:42.80). Maglasang has two individual top-10 finishes, including an individual first-place finish at the Rhodes College Invitational.
On the women's side, Louisa Lingley continues to be a force to reckon with in competition. In her first three meets, Lingley brought home two top-10 finishes including her win at the Rhodes College Invitational, as the women's squad has two top-10 overall finishes.
