IRVING, Tex. - Conference USA announced the 2010 Men and Women's Cross Country All-Academic teams, Wednesday, with one Tiger runner being named to the squad.

Senior Curtis Gibbs, who currently sports a 3.89 grade point average in Economics, was the lone senior named to this season's men's squad all-academic side. The Franklin, Tenn., native is a U of M honors student who has been named to, among other honors, the Dean's List, Tiger Academic 30 and the Tiger 3.0 Club.

In the conference, Gibbs has been honored with the Commissioner's Academic Medal for two years, as well as a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Gibbs started and finished each meet for the Tigers during the 2010 cross country season.

Gibbs is a member of Phi Eta Sigma and has already begun to use his business sense, opening his own coffee shop.
