2010-2011 (Redshirt Junior):
Repeated C-USA First Team All-Conference honors after playing in 29 of 34 games for the Tigers, missing five games with a stress fracture in her foot during conference play...Led Memphis with 13.8 ppg, her second straight season leading the team in scoring...Scored double-digit points in 21 of 29 games, including a season-best 32 point effort in a win over East Carolina at FedExForum (2/6/11)...Was 12-for-18 from the floor, 3-for-3 from three-point range, 5-for-9 from the free throw line and added eight rebounds in that East Carolina game...The 32-point night was her fourth 30-plus point scoring effort...Passed the 1,000 career point mark against Southern Miss in the Conference USA tournament, her first game back after missing five games with a foot injury...She made the 1,000 career point mark in her 60th career game at Memphis, making her the third-fastest player in Tiger history to 1,000 points behind LaTonya Johnson (54 games) and Keeta Matthews (55 games)...Had one double-double, finishing with 17 points and 10-rebounds in a win over Chicago State, a team that was an eventual WBI semifinalist...Tied a career high with five steals in a win over Fordham in the opening round of the Kansas tournament over Thanksgiving weekend...Was voted to the Kansas All-Tournament team...Scored 17 or more points in five of the first eight games of the season...Her foot injury first popped up before the Tigers hosted UTEP, causing Carter to miss her first start in her two-year Tiger career, playing just six minutes...Memphis lost that game, the team's first loss in 11 games, snapping a 10-game winning streak...Handed out a career-high eight assists in a win at Marshall, still finishing with 12 points...Carter tried to play through her injury in games at UAB, UCF, Houston, Marshall and Southern Miss before missing five straight conference games with the Tigers positioned in the top four in the league standings...The Tigers were 1-4 without Carter in the lineup...She returned to the team in the opening round of the conference tournament, shooting 4-for-16 from the field, but still finishing with 10 points, including her 1,000th career point, in the opening round win over the Golden Eagles...Was 9-for-10 from the free-throw line in the upset win over No. 3 seeded Rice in the quarterfinals to help Memphis to the C-USA semifinals for the first time since 1997-98...Scored 18 points on 6-for-18 shooting against Alabama in the first round WNIT loss to end the season...Had a career-high three blocks in a win at Saint Louis, then tied that mark with three blocks against UCF in the C-USA Semifinal game...Finished the season with 24 starts in 29 games, scoring exactly 400 points...Graduated from the university in December of 2010 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a criminal justice emphasis and began working on a second bachelor's degree at Memphis.
2009-2010 (Redshirt Sophomore):
Named C-USA First Team All-Conference and the C-USA Newcomer of the Year after leading the league in scoring with 19.2 ppg...Also ranked third on the Memphis roster with 5.6 rebounds per game...Her 654 points ranks as the 8th-best single season scoring title in Memphis history...Opened her Tiger career with a 20-point outing and followed that up with her first career double-double in the next game, finishing with 13 points and 11 rebounds, including seven offensive against Murray State...Scored 30 points, including a game-winning jumper, in the Tigers' first win of the season, on the road at Missouri...Set a new Memphis school and C-USA single game record with a 49-point game in a win over Sacramento State at the University of Washington tournament...The 49 points was the most scored by any Tiger basketball player, male or female, in Memphis history...Was 16-for-28 from the field against Sacramento State, and 15-for-20 from the free-throw line...Scored 20 or more points in 15 games and scored double-digit points in 31 of 34 games...Scored 30 or more points three times, including 31 points in the championship game of the WBI at Appalachian State....Scored double-digit points in 14 of the first 17 games, then in the next 17 straight games...Her second double-double with the 49 point, 11 rebound effort in the win over Sacramento State...Her third double-double was a 17 points, 10-rebound effort in a win over Marshall that gave Memphis its first-ever series sweep over the Thundering Herd...Had eight blocks on the season and 58 steals and finished second on the team with 26 three-point field goals made...Her 138 free-throws made ranks ninth in Memphis history and her 228 free-throw attempts is second all-time behind Victoria Crawford's 261 attempts in 2003-04...Hit game-winning shots at Missouri, at UCF and at UTEP.
2008-09 (Sophomore):
Sat out the 2008-09 season after transferring to Memphis from Georgia during the summer.
2007-08 (Freshman)
Played one season at the University of Georgia, appearing in 14 games and averaging 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds per game...Will sit out 2008-09 per NCAA transfer rules and will have three years of eligibility remaining...Chose Memphis over Miami (FL) and Virginia Tech.
Prep
Was the No. 21 ranked prospect in the country by the All-Star Girls Report...Was ranked No. 27 in the country by hoopgurlz.com and No. 39 by scout.com...Prepped at Newton County High School...Was a three-year starter after transferring from Redan following her freshman season...An honorable mention All-America by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, Carter averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game at Newton under Head Coach Angela Holley...Her team reached the quarterfinals of the Georgia Class 5A state tournament, but ankle injuries sidelined Carter for large portions of her sophomore and senior seasons...Also a letterwinner in volleyball and track at Redan as a freshman and voted Most Athletic among her senior class at Newton...Played AAU basketball with current women's basketball player Alex Winchell, playing for the Georgia Nike Elite team under coach Roland "Boscoe" McCabee...That team won back-to-back AAU Georgia state championships in 2005 and 2006.
