The Annual Memphis Madness to kick off the start of Tiger basketball season.
This year the Memphis Tiger Network went behind the scenes of the 2012 Memphis women's basketball photo shoot. We had a chance to meet a lot of new faces on the team this year and talk to some of the veterans. Lets just say that when the camera started rolling, we got a chance to see the team in a whole different light. Enjoy!
Larrick Johnson joined the Memphis women's basketball staff in January of 2006. He coordinates Melissa McFerrin's calendar, assists in planning travel for the women's coaching staff and serves as the office manager. He helped coordinate an office remodel in the summer of 2008 and also assists in game day management at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse and FedExForum.
A native of Oceanside, Calif., Johnson retired in 2004 from the Navy, with 27 years of service. He is the Head Wrestling Coach at Brighton High School in Tipton County, where he's been coaching for seven years. He has three children -- sons, Ashten who attends the U of M and who was a Region 10 wrestling Champion, Demetrius, a two-time state champion who is attending UT Chattanooga, and daughter Amara, graduated from BHS and served as the team captain of the volleyball team.
His is married to the formerly Christine Thiverige of Clarkston, Washington.
